Meet Our Staff

Scot Sinclair - Executive Director
Scot has been with O'Connor Woods since prior to its opening in 1990. Formerly the Executive Director of the Sequoias, a life care community in San Francisco, Scot has a passion for creating an outstanding, caring community, and he brings strong financial skills to the organization. Scot is a graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and he did graduate work at Ohio State University

Marcia Fitzgerald - Senior Administrator for Independent Living
Hired in 1988 as the Marketing Director for O'Connor Woods, Marcia was promoted to Senior Administrator for Independent Living and continues to oversee the marketing along with several other departments.  She is a UCLA graduate and received her MBA from Loyola Marymount University.  Problem solving is her forte and she loves working with seniors

Penny Mallette  - Administrator, Assisted Living
Penny joined O'Connor Woods in 1997, having managed the Assisted Living and Residential Services for the Masonic Homes for 9 years.  Penny instills a sense of compassion and caring in her staff and is an excellent role model for them.  She takes time with residents and communicates with their families.  Penny has a degree in Health Sciences from California State University.  She is a Licensed Nurse and a certified Director of Social Services. Our assisted living has never been cited with a deficiency during the State Department of Social Services inspection.  Her knowledge and high standards have made this possible.

 

Cathy Otte Skilled Nursing Administrator
Cathy has worked in skilled nursing facilities for twenty years.  She earned both a BA and MA in Communicative Disorders from the University of the Pacific and was a licensed Speech Pathologist and Rehabilitation Director prior to coming Meadowood. Cathy was one of the first employees at Meadowood when it opened in 1997. She was hired as a Speech Pathologist, and was responsible for the opening of the Special Care Unit. Within two years, she became the Care Coordinator, overseeing the Medicare and Managed Care programs.  In 2004 she completed the Administrator in Training Program, and a year ago received her Nursing Home Administrator’s license. Cathy was the Assistant Administrator for one year and today is now the Administrator of Meadowood.  

 

Ralph Speare Facilities Director
Ralph came to O'Connor Woods with 25 years of experience as Operations Manager in the mall business and 3 years as West Coast Development Manager for a retirement community. Growing up on a 150-acre cattle ranch in Lodi gave Ralph a strong work ethic, which is a real benefit to his position. As Facilities Director, he oversees Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security and Grounds and is responsible for keeping this community running smoothly in all these areas. His expertise as well as his ability to find economical solutions are beneficial to our hundreds of residents.


Linda Kay - Marketing Director
Linda Kay's professional background in sales and marketing includes working with clients like Transamerica, Windsor Vineyards and Buena Vista Pictures. She joined the O'Connor Woods marketing team in 2004. Her passion for what she does was inspired by helping her parents through their aging process.

Ilona Corpus Director of Dining Services
Ilona was born and raised in Hungary.  She came to the USA in June of 2000 and joined the O'Connor Woods staff in June of 2008.  She came to this country with a strong restaurant and management background, which brings excellence to our community. She says that her position here fulfills a life-long dream of being of value to seniors while doing what she loves to do.  Ilona appreciates the day-to-day connection to the residents, and says she learns a lot from their knowledge of life, which she will cherish forever.



Judy Janes - Resident Services Director
Judy has worked with non-profit agencies over the past twelve years. Most recently, she worked at St. Joseph's Foundation as a development officer raising funds for St. Joseph's Medical Center. Her previous experience with the senior population includes her work as coordinator of a senior services program for Catholic Charities Hope House in New Jersey.

Sister Mary Ann Hills, M.S., M.F.C.C. - Pastoral Counselor
Sister Mary Ann brings a great skill set to our community.  She provides many programs and discussion groups to support the growth of meaning and purpose in our resident's lives.  She conducts periodic services in our chapel and is available for one on one visits to residents in their homes and in the hospital.

Alma Lopez, RN - Health Clinic Nurse
Alma has been our staff nurse since 1995.  She assesses new residents for admission to our campus, is called upon in emergencies and acts as a liaison and advocate with our residents, their families and their physician.  She is also a parish nurse.
