Overview

Julie Mammad
Executive Director

Julie Mammad is the Executive Director of The Reutlinger Community. Julie was born and raised in Azerbaijan. She immigrated to the United States in 1998, where she found her calling to serve older adults and create a better quality of life during the aging journey. Julie is a lifelong learner who holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Azerbaijan State University of Languages, a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Cal State Hayward and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
Julie enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, as well as yoga, hiking, skiing, and volunteering with her daughter. Julie enjoys visiting new places and meeting new people. She is married and has three daughters.

Zari Weiss
Rabbi Pastoral

Rabbi Zari Weiss joined The Reutlinger Community in September 2022. She has served as a Rabbi in a variety of capacities: for seventeen years as a full-time congregational Rabbi, and as a Rabbi for numerous part-time congregations. For three years Rabbi Weiss served as the Community Rabbi of the Greater East Bay (1998-2001). She studied chaplaincy at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC, and at the Veterans Administration in Seattle. Rabbi Weiss was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1991. Rabbi Weiss has written many articles and chapters on prayer, Contemplative Judaism, and Spiritual Direction from a Jewish perspective. She is currently working on a book about prayer.

Brian Kallio
Skilled Nursing Administrator

Brian Kallio is the Skilled Nursing Administrator at The Reutlinger Community and has worked in the senior services industry for nearly three decades, gaining invaluable experience in regulatory compliance, fiscal management, and leadership. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and received his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate while attending college. At The Reutlinger Community, Brian oversees the nursing, admissions, activities and social service departments and plays a major role in personnel development and quality assurance. He is passionate about helping people realize the benefits of great teamwork, communication, and customer service. Outside of work, Brian enjoys traveling, biking, volunteering at his church and spending quality time with his family.

Naheed Asalati
Residential Living Advisor

Naheed Asalati is a Residential Living Advisor at The Reutlinger Community. She has been with the community for over four years, serving as the Executive Assistant, Business Office Supervisor and assisting with marketing and admissions.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing, management and public relations from Cal State East Bay. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children and extended family. She also enjoys cooking, volunteering and the outdoor sports that her active children participate in.

Sonia Gonzalez
Director of Culinary Experience

Sonia Gonzalez is the Director of Culinary Experience at the Reutlinger Community and loves helping people with all their food and nutritional needs. She has spent most of her career in the food industry, gaining valuable experience in areas such as food safety, sanitation and the newest trends in food and nutrition. While visiting residents and making sure they enjoy their meal is her primary function by day, Sonia also enjoys spending time with her family when not at The Reutlinger Community.

Art Martinez
Director of Environmental Services

Arthur “Art” Martinez is the Director of Environmental Services at The Reutlinger Community. A team member of the community for the last 18 years, Art started in the maintenance department, bringing with him over 22 years of prior experience in the maintenance, building and disassembling of multi-million dollar equipment. In addition to his dedication to the safety and operations of the community, he truly enjoys listening to the residents’ stories. When not at work, Art enjoys tinkering in the garage, fishing and golfing.

Kim Chua-Pilapil
Business Office Manager

Kim Chua-Pilapil is the Business Office Manager at The Reutlinger Community. Kim started her career in Senior Living in 2013 as a Caregiver. She has also worked as a Med Tech and Wellness Manager. With a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and some classes in accounting, Kim transitioned to the Business Office in 2017. As the Business Office Manager, she oversees the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable of the community. She finds this work very challenging and rewarding. Kim describes herself as a homebody when she’s not at work. She enjoys quiet time with her husband and her dog, Maverick.

 

Christina Balboni
Social Worker​

Christina Balboni is a Social Worker at The Reutlinger Community. An integral part of the staff, she plays a major role with the interdisciplinary team and is a passionate advocate in her support of residents in their discharge planning and biopsychosocial needs. As a seasoned social worker in the geriatric field, she is committed to supporting the highest quality of life for older adults. When not serving the residents of The Reutlinger Community, she is also the sole proprietor of a private psychotherapy practice and the mother of two adult children. Christina’s Italian heritage and green thumb shine through in her cooking and baking, which she enjoys sharing with the staff and residents.
